Over 3 million North American waterfowl and shorebirds are attracted to our habitat in the subtropical wetland marsh of Ensenada Pabellones and its Chiricahueto Lagoon. Each year, the Pichiguila Club team takes on the daunting challenge to clear more than 20 miles of passageways through the reeds in the lagoon to create waterways and pot holes to make our habitat even more enticing to our ducks. Our freshwater marsh, wetlands and mangrove forests are some of the most important habitats in the northern hemisphere and a sight to be seen. We offer afternoon airboat eco-tours that allow our sportsmen or accompanying guests to enjoy this outstanding ecosystem and view thousands of our resident and migratory waterfowl and other native wildlife- including large colonies of crocodiles! Our eco-tour is also available to bird watchers and all nature enthusiasts. Throughout the year, local school children and their parents benefit from our ongoing outreach program Alas y Humedales (Wings and Wetlands). Local biologists and ornithologists lead our eco-tours for this program and help educate the community about conservation and the importance of protecting our environment.Conservation and Eco-Tours
