Weather and Packing List

  • The weather in the winter is generally cool at night (low 50 degrees Fahrenheit) and warm and sunny during the day (high 70 to low 80 degrees Fahrenheit). Sunscreen and a hat are a must- we provide you with a complimentary Pichiguila Club cap upon arrival. We recommend you wear long pants and layers; it can be quite cool in the morning on the airboats when you are heading out to the blinds. Camouflage is important; please be sure to wear colors that you would expect to see among the reeds in a lagoon in winter, in particular, shades of brown and green.
  • The blinds are solid bolted wooden platforms raised at least 1 foot above the water level and are completely dry. You will not be submerged in water at any point in time and do not need waders. Blinds are equipped with wooden railings as well as coolers filled with cool drinks and ice, which double as a seat to rest on.
